Job description

Join the culinary team at one of Canada’s finest hotels. Value your passion and creativity in a dynamic environment. Collaboration with chefs dedicated to preparing and serving unique dishes using fresh local ingredients. Take your cooking to the next level in our gourmet kitchen.

The tasks include:

  • Prepare, prepare, and serve all dishes for a la carte and buffet menus according to recipes and standards.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all menu items in your area; participates in daily activity creation and development
  • Receive and maintain proper rotation of products in all coolers to minimize loss or damage when using FIFO.
  • Follow all SAFE health and safety regulations.
  • Flexible operation in any cooking mode, at any time
  • Other duties, as assigned

qualify

Your experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience
  • A certificate or diploma from a recognized cooking school is an advantage. 
  • Certification for safe food handling
  • I am able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 kg and stand and walk frequently while moving. 
  • Durable kitchen appliances include large ovens and hobs, cookers, ovens, mixers, flat ovens, fryers, ovens, toasters, pans, fridges, and freezers.
  • Attention to detail, precision, and accuracy with recipes and plating
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of service under pressure
