Job description

Join our team as a creative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic. Support room attendants, handle guest conversations, make beds, and maintain common areas. The position offers many different shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening. Join the team that strives for perfection!

The Tasks Include:

  • He always offers a professional, engaging, and friendly service.
  • Responsible for cleaning the ice machines on the room floors.
  • Responsible for the execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the cleaning department
  • Expected to meet all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards regarding hygiene and grooming, health and safety, fire, accommodations, guest room standards, guest interaction, and radio protocol
  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of back areas. This will include, but is not limited to: sweeping, cleaning, trash removal and recycling, storage, and organization.
  • Helps room support by removing dirty plates from empty rooms.
  • Responsible for storing guest beds and amenities in appropriate areas and at appropriately designated levels (this job supports and assists room staff).
  • Sorting of dirty bed linen ready for export laundry service
  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of visitor corridors and common areas. This includes, but is not limited to, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, wet dusting, elevator cleaning, public toilet cleaning, copper polishing, and litter removal.
  • Responsible for cleaning dirty crockery from rooms and refilling clean crockery in appropriate areas and at appropriate nominal levels
  • Load and unload the glass machines, and place everything in the right place.
  • All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Your skills and qualifications:

  • warm and caring personality; previous experience managing a household is an advantage.
  • The ability to anticipate and focus attention on guests’ needs, be professional, and be accommodating
  • Must be able to make decisions independently and demonstrate problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Of course, you are in good condition when you stand and walk through the entire shift.
  • Good ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Can bend and kneel comfortably.
